Want to send handwritten notes on the go? Handwrytten is here to help with our handwritten card app! The Handwrytten app makes it easy to send an authentic, handwritten note straight from your phone.
To get started, you will need to download the Handwrytten App to your phone and then create an account or sign in if you already have one. Our app is available on the Apple App Store as well as Google Play.
Once logged in, you will be able to select from a variety of card categories. Customizable cards can only be created from our desktop platform, so you will not see the Customizable Cards category on the app. Any custom cards that you have already created online will show in the “My Custom Cards” category. Once you have selected a category you can scroll through all of the available cards in that category.
Select the card of your choice. This will bring you to the preview of your card, where you can click the orange “Write a Message” tab at the bottom of the screen. The card will open and you can now type out your message to your recipient using your phone’s keyboard.
You can add personalized tags to your message by clicking “Tags”. You can insert any saved message templates by selecting “Templates”. Message templates can be managed under your account information on the home screen in the “Custom Templates” section. After a message has been typed out you can save it as a template by clicking “Save As Template”.
Most of our notes are limited to 500 characters. A character count is located in the green box at the bottom right of the card preview. Once your message is complete click the orange “Next” button in the top right corner and you will be able to preview your message and choose from our available handwriting styles. When you have finished selecting your handwriting style click the orange “Next” button. This will bring you to the “Complete Order” screen where you will select your send date, enter your return address, and add your recipient(s) address.
The “Send Date” is the date your order will be pulled to be written. We aim to complete all orders within one business day. On rare occasions, it might take two days. After your note has been written it will be handed off to the US Postal System to deliver. Typically, the US Postal Sevice delivers all mail to the continental US in 3-4 days
“Add Recipients” will take you to your Address Book. Here you can either select from the contacts listed or add new ones. If you are sending notes to recipients already in your address book, select the recipient(s) so that a checkmark appears next to their name(s) and then click the “X” in the top left corner to go back to the “Complete Order” page.
To add new recipients, click the plus sign in the top right corner and you can either manually enter a person’s information or import from the contacts already in your phone. Always double-check that the information imported is correct.
If you are looking to add a gift card to your order, select the “Add Gift Card” button. This will bring up a variety of gift card options that we offer. Once you select a gift card/denomination of your choice, it will be added to your order. Visit our FAQ page to see a complete list of gift cards and learn more about other inserts!
Once everything is filled out and you are certain everything looks good, select the grey “Add to Cart” button at the bottom of the screen. This will give you the option to write another card or proceed to checkout.
On the checkout screen, you can preview and edit your card or even delete it by clicking the three dots to the right of the card. You can also edit billing information, apply any coupon codes, and add/select a payment option. When everything looks good, click “Send” and your order will be placed!
Then leave the rest to us! We will pull and process your order on the “Send Date” indicated in your order. Our robots will write your note and envelope with a real pen, we will put a real stamp on the envelope and send it out to be delivered.
